Current Role

Doug Sawyer received his CCIM designation in November of 1990 and has been active in commercial and investment real estate for over 30 years. He specializes in commercial sales, office leasing and the development of small shopping centers and industrial space. He is currently President/Owner of Sawyer Properties, Inc., and Vice President of Phoenix Properties, Inc., a wholly owned investment company.

CCIM and Professional Affiliation Experience


Additional involvement with the CCIM Institute includes serving as current President of the CCIM Education Foundation and Chair of the Faculty Sub-committee. Doug has also served on the Board of Directors for the CCIM Institute and was President of the Virginia CCIM Chapter in 2000. Within the REALTOR family, he was elected to serve as the 2001 state president for the Virginia Association of Realtors®, and as the 1997 President of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors®, for which he was named Realtor® of the Year in 2001. On a national level, Doug is a Director of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) representing Virginia.

Instructional Background


Doug is a senior instructor for CI 101, CI 102, and Advanced Studies in Market Analysis, teaching in the US as well as internationally. He has taught Commercial Investment classes in Warsaw, Moscow, St Petersburg, Taiwan, and London as well as presentations to US trade groups. In 2003 and 2004, Doug was recognized by his peers as the CI 102 Senior Instructor of the Year. In 2007, Doug was also awarded as the 101 Instructor of the Year.

Education


Doug graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Stanley Gniazdowski

Professional Background

Stan entered the real estate field as a sales person in 1973 and attained the position of Vice President of an international real estate firm as a commercial real estate consultant prior to forming his own firm in 1984. He counsels and manages developments for national and regional investors, corporations and developers, and provides expert witness services to the legal profession.

CCIM and Professional Affiliation Experience

Stan has served the CCIM Institute as a Councilor, past Chair of CI 101 and CI 102 and past Chair of the Publications Committee. He has also served on numerous other committees including: Designation, Designation Courses, Education Steering and Instructor Compensation. He also served as a member of the Landauer/CCIM Market Survey Task Force. Stan is past president of the Connecticut CCIM Chapter and the Connecticut Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) Chapter.

Instructional Background

Stanley is an active real estate lecturer and has lectured in Eastern Europe on real estate finance and analysis and is currently an Associate Professor of Real Estate at New York University.

Current Role

Carmela Ma is President of CJM Associates, a commercial brokerage and consulting firm located in Beverly Hills, California. She is a licensed real estate broker and a consultant/advisor on real estate to financial institutions.


Professional Background

Carmela has extensive international business experience that began in the early 1970's. Her projects and meetings have taken her throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Pacific Rim countries, Canada, and the US.


CCIM and Professional Affiliation Experience

Carmela's local involvement includes serving as Director of the Greater Los Angeles CCIM Chapter. She is also a past president and founding member of that Chapter.


Instructional Background

Carmela is a well-respected CCIM instructor as well as a senior instructor and past dean for the National Association of Realtors® Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) program. She teaches and speaks on real estate both domestically and internationally. In 2003, Carmela received CCIM's Robert L. Ward Instructor of the Year award and the People's Choice award (highest student ratings). She received the CI 101 Senior Instructor of the Year award in 2001, and the CIPS International Instructor of the Year award in 2000.

Richard Juge is 2010 president of the CCIM Institute. He is also the broker/owner of an all commercial real estate firm in New Orleans, Louisiana, RE/MAX Commercial Brokers, Inc (with two offices). His real estate specialization is primarily in Office/Industrial Leasing & Sales, and Investment Sales. He also handles Industrial and Development Transactions.


Professional Background

Richard has been in commercial and investment real estate since 1988. Mr. Juge specializes in handling the needs of corporate clients on a regional basis for many national companies. He is a past President of the LA/MS Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Chapter as well as the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the New Orleans Board of Realtors. He has served on numerous committees within CCIM and was a charter member of the CCIM Partners Advisory Board. Richard is also a senior instructor for the CCIM Institute. He has instructed many groups in the area of commercial and investment real estate. He has developed course materials on topics from real estate technology to corporate real estate. He is a Senior CCIM Instructor for CI-Intro (Introduction to Commercial Real Estate), CI-101 (Financial Analysis), and CI-103 (User Decisions) courses, and a CI-104 (Investor Analysis) course instructor. Richard also has taught for The Louisiana & Mississippi State Realtors Associations, and numerous CCIM Chapters. Recently he has been honored with overseas teaching assignments in Warsaw, Poland; Shanghai, China and twice taught in Moscow, Russia for both Realtor and Private Firms.

His educational background is a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and also studied at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
